Educational program "Social work"

Qualification: Professional Junior Bachelor in Social Work

Study period: 2 years and 10 months

A specialist in social work can:

  • help the person who asked for help (the client) understand the causes of their problems and find ways to overcome them; provide the client with psychological, legal and pedagogical advice, help in the development of his positive attributes;
  • represent the client's interests and protect his rights;
  • organize and coordinate the work of specialists of various professions aimed at helping the client.
  • conduct career guidance, interviews and testing when hiring;
  • develop and conduct sociological research;
  • carry out work on the prevention of negative social phenomena, formation of a healthy life and style, and overcoming harmful habits and negative personal traits;
  • develop programs of activities of social services and public organizations aimed at overcoming social problems (social projects), provide their, financing and coordinate their implementation;
  • conduct education, training, and business games for clients and employees of their organizations;

Graduates can continue their studies in higher educational institutions of the III-IV level of accreditation for 2-3 courses:

  • Sumy Makarenko State Pedagogical University;
  • Glukhiv Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Pedagogical University;
  • Chernihiv State Institute of Law, Social Technologies and Law;
  • Chernihiv State Institute of Economics and Management;

The specialty was opened in 2006.
